Reserva de la Familia Extra Añejo is the award-winning pinnacle of the Jose Cuervo family of tequilas. The finest 10-12 year-old agaves are hand-selected, and only the most flavorful inner portion of the agave’s heart is used to make this 100% Blue Agave Extra Añejo Tequila.
For 27 years, Jose Cuervo has commissioned an internationally recognized artist with roots in Mexico to create the design for its Reserva de la Familia Extra Añejo collector’s box. Results have borne intricate and striking works of art, making it perfect for every collector who appreciates artistry and a well-crafted, high end tequila.
This year, award-winning Mexican artist Gonzalo Lebrija has been chosen as the designer for the 2022 edition of Reserva de la Familia Extra Añejo box. Lebrija’s design, called “the glazes,” highlights the numerous colors and shapes that define the agave landscape throughout the day. The result is a visually arresting pattern that captures the true essence of the agave fields.
Nose: Toasty oak and agave, apple turnovers and wood spices.
Palate: More sweet wood spices, vanilla and agave. Dried herbs.
Finish: Sweet and spicy.
